Just thought i would share the dress I wore on Saturday night. I’ve had this lovely silk late 50s number for around a year. Although, I had never worn it as it was in desperate need of a dry clean. I wish I had taken a pic of it before, because mt dry cleaner did such an amazing job on it. It is amazing how much more vibrant the colour contrast is on this dress now it has had a good dry clean.

My dry cleaner is really wonderful, and is always ever so good with vintage. If you are around my area (Sutton/ Cheam) I would highly recommend. It is Antonique in Grove Road, every time I go in there I am amazed with the care they have taken over my vintage pieces- especially seeing the horror stories I have heard from others.

So, back to my dress. This is a London town dress. I have  a few dresses by this brand who seem to have produced very high quality evening dresses in the late 50s and early 60s.

I’m wearing my dress with a pair of L K Bennett shoes that were reduced down in the sale to £75 a while back.
