Easter time

So, the easter holidays have finally arrived and i am now going to try and dedicate some time to writing on my blog. Vintage updates etc. I am currently staying at my mum’s house which is a haven of all things vintage/lovely/ Cath Kidston as can be seen by the pictures. Its a pretty inspiring place to be because of this, and hopefully my design project this term will show off some of this inspiration!

Project excitement

So, this semester for design development we have been studying about slow fashion. Initially going into it i wasn’t sure of how much I would enjoy it but the project has ended up being so so good. Basically for my creative direction i have decided to go down the route of a make-do-and-mend WW2 aesthetic. Lots of land girl influences and pictures of my Nanna when she was younger to inspire me. This is my mood board to give you a flavour of the route i am going with it, tres exciting!!!

New Obsession

Along time since i last posted unfortunately, but with exams etc. i simply haven’t had the chance! So, over Christmas my Dad kindly repainted my bedroom (it used to be a vile combination of lime green and lilac that aged 7 seemed just delightful) and i have been looking for some fabric to make curtains with to jazz it up a bit. Excitingly i discovered Michael Miller vintage inspired fabrics. Wow! Totally in love with all of the adorable printed fabrics, now just to decide what one to buy.
So far i think this one is my fave 🙂
